Worship Ministry Audition Upload

We offer ourselves and our talents to the Lord so He may be glorified, and His people may be drawn into a deep and meaningful experience with Him whenever we gather.

Qualifications

A Highland Worship Team member should be a committed attendee of the Highland Church.  The team member is to be a regular attendee in worship and actively support the leadership and mission of the Highland Church.

Spiritual Growth - The team member is to be a mature Christian, knowing that everyone involved in the worship ministry is seen by the congregation as a leader.

Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything we do as a worship team (Colossians 3:16-17; 1 Corinthian 10:31).

Talents and Skills - Although we recognize the importance of a pure heart, the musicians and vocalists also need to have enough musical skill because we want to be the best that we can be in order to appropriately honor and worship God.

Family Support - It is important that our immediate family members are supportive and willing to accept the necessary time commitments for rehearsals and services.

Team Corporation- Working and blending with others must be a major consideration.

Expectations

Probationary Period - New team members are required to join the worship team for four (4) rehearsals before participating in a worship service in order to learn the style of music the team plays and, most importantly, build a relationship with the team members.

Personal Practice - Team members are expected to commit time to individual practice to prepare for group rehearsals and worship services, recognizing that the worship ministry requires a large time commitment and it is wasteful of the team’s time to be unprepared for rehearsal.

Worship & Rehearsal  Attendance - All team members are required to attend the weekly rehearsal on Tuesday (vocals) or Thursday (musicians) and worship services on Wednesdays and Sundays, including sound checks prior to the service, being punctual and faithful in their attendance.

Communication - If a team member is unable to make it for a practice or a worship service, they must give the worship team leader sufficient notice so that any necessary adjustments can be made or substitute can be found.

Personal Worship Time - We expect e a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is consistent and growing through prayers, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers. We seek to model the life of a growing believer for those we help lead in worship.
