Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, - Matthew 28:19
The mission of Highland Church is the same mission Jesus gave His followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Son and the Holy Spirit.
This vision of Highland Church is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
This is the number one purpose of the Highland Church. The mission of Highland Church is to exalt God's greatness. The word 'exalt' means to lift up, to set on a shelf for display, to hold up so everyone can see the greatness of God. Worship is for celebration. We come, as the Bible says, to celebrate the excellence of God
We believe the mission of Highland church is to exalt God and equip God's people. This is a very important part of our purpose statement. To equip is to prepare God's people for the greatest function - to become effective Christians in the place God has placed them.
We call this the "Great Commission" because it is the marching orders of our Lord Jesus. He says in Matthew 28:18-20 "... All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Surrendering our hearts and devotion to Christ through conversational and intercessory prayer. The word of God has a lot to say about how we can defend ourselves against the attacks of the enemy. It’s our goal to equip you with information that can protect you against the spiritual onslaught of the enemy and prepare you for spiritual war.
Fellowship is clearly a mutual relationship among Christians. We all need to give and receive love. Fellowship means a lot more than talking to each other about sports, gossip and news. It means sharing lives, sharing emotions, bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging one another and helping those who have need.
