Water Baptism

Water Baptism is important as a sign of what has already taken place in a follower of Christ’s mind and heart. It is a public declaration of a person’s choosing to identify with Jesus in our manner of living. It is not an assurance of having become a Christian. It is a step in the process of growing in one’s faith in Christ.

Please read the following verses to find the context of baptism in the Bible.

That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.
